A Daily Wellbeing and Resilience App to help you Shine – created for the NHS
This App became a reality because we wanted to find a way to support the amazing staff who work in the NHS who have some of the most difficult, challenging and stressful jobs.
To truly understand the pressures faced, we listened to staff from all areas of the NHS, working out how to support their wellbeing and resilience so everyone could feel better equipped to continue doing their very best for the NHS.
We’ve learnt a lot and taken all your thoughts, ideas and opinions on board and built the ShinyMind App with you at its heart - to help provide support 24/7 with over 100 interactive, psychotherapeutic exercises and activities to support your wellbeing and resilience.
It also includes the ‘Shiny Mind Resilience: Your Mindset: Your Choice’ programme which is a practical, challenging and empowering mindset programme developed around a new psychotherapeutic model of change - our ‘ABLE’ model – and which includes CBT, transactional analysis, and positive psychology.
The programme has been delivered to almost 2000 employees with positive results - 98.89% of attendees have rated it as ‘Excellent’ or ‘Good’, 97.04% have said it has improved resilience, 96.3% that it has helped stress management, and 99.26% would recommend the programme to colleagues.
All the ShinyMind App features are interactive and evidenced by research, and having been co-designed by staff for staff, are tailored to your needs to build as your own personal resource.

• SOS exercises - 5-minute exercises to help when things are hard
• Gratitude - Gratitude journal to help you look for the positives
• Kindsight section - to promote self-compassion, connection and support for self and others
• Self-awareness - journaling enabling you to record, reflect and notice patterns
• Meditation and breathing - simple effective guided breathing and meditation exercises
• Daily Inspire Me messages - positive motivational daily messages
• Mood Baths - relaxing scenes and sounds to boost your mood
• A Coping Well - to share across the community our tips to cope better
• A daily boost – a 5 mins diagnostic, mindset activity and suggestions based on your mood
• Community - voice messages and Positivity Posts which can be sent to individuals
• Triggers - awareness exercises so we recognise when things are going wrong
