It was located along the “small city wall”, between Place Louise and theGare du Midi. This fairy-tale monument is more than 600 years old and remains aremarkable testimony to the town’s mediaeval past. It was once one of the gateways to the fortified town and controlled both people and goodscoming in or out of the city.
