Kindle sync/ import
I am really disappointed that when I did a sync/import of my kindle books- around 450 titles- they were all automatically listed as paperback books!! They are e-books!! Of course! They were imported from kindle!!! They were imported on top of all of the physical books already entered into my library. I can’t remember by just looking at the now updated library list whether each is an ebook or physical book. What an absolute shame! So disappointing! I wish this could be fixed! Additionally, it has not imported all my titles AND VERY FEW OF THE BOOK DESCRIPTIONS CAME THROUGH. I have twice sent messages to the developer through this platform but he doesn’t reply.

Bad, misleading AI design
I tested the AI chat with The British Are Coming by Rick Atkinson. The chat box said I could request chapter by chapter summaries, so I asked if the book discusses the debate around the Declaration of Independence in Philadelphia up through chapter 14. The AI chat said yes, that the book covers the Declaration debate in Philadelphia and discusses Thomas Jefferson and John Adams. The problem here is that not a single chapter has been set in Philadelphia so far, Jefferson and Adams are barely mentioned, and the book is mostly about key battles, not the debates around the Declaration. The AI chat should express its limitations when it is asked a question it doesn’t know the answer to. Plenty of current models do that, they don’t guess incorrect information. And marketing for this app should reflect that limitation instead of offering chapter summaries. I like the design of this app more than any other book app out there right now, but I can’t justify paying a subscription for misleading marketing and an AI chat that didn’t know its own limitations.
