STORY

Support never responds when you ask for help.
I want to enjoy this game. It seems to have a lot of potential to be a really good game. But unfortunately it’s so buggy and trying to reach out to developers/customer support is useless as no one will respond even after weeks of waiting. One, Helpy tells you near the beginning of the game that he’s giving you 10 free “Nutrition” which is basically in game currency. Well, I didn’t receive my 10 free Nutrition. The game randomly crashes and closes frequently. The option to watch video ads is broken; no matter how many times you watch a “rewarded ad” you never get the reward. Nothing happens. I’ve tried using the rewarded ad option for both skipping wait times and unlocking new episodes and absolutely nothing happens either way. No tickets, and still have to wait for the next message. I have wasted so much time watching the ads hoping maybe one would actually give me the reward but they just never do. I also usually don’t mind paying a few bucks for things in a game and supporting the devs. But unfortunately I don’t dare try to make any actual $ purchases on this app when I have experienced so many problems with it and can’t even get any response or help from the team I’d be giving my money to. So disappointing. I was excited about this game.

Really hope the series continues...
I’ve played a TON of interactive/immersive text-choices style games, so I’ve become pretty picky about the ones I’ll continue playing. Well, I started A Void Society about a month ago, then after the first four episodes (I believe) of the first season, I bought the membership and finished the rest up within the week. I was really disappointed to see that Season 2 Episode 2 had not yet debuted. Even worse, when I look to the last update, it seems it was 9 months ago with Season 2 starting in 2021. I don’t believe it’s the developers’ faults as they seem extraordinary and admirably committed to this project. But I was rather surprised at the fact there were only 10 ratings, with only four(?) of those having written reviews (hence why I decided to add mine). We all know the apocalypse thing has been done a million times, but this story has a lot more depth to it with many personal interactions you make with multiple characters. It’s not as immersive as say, Duskwood, or The Healing, but it’s definitely far more than just a text based story. I really hope more people decide to give it a try, because I can’t see it continuing it people aren’t playing. :( And I hate it when stories are just cut off with no ending! Unfortunately I had to cancel my membership, as there was no purpose in leaving my account to be charged monthly when I have played everything that’s been released through. Really hoping that downloads for this app pick up - you won’t regret playing it, trust me! - and I get to see more of David & Co.’s adventure and how their future plays out.
