How it works
The Kt-Pulse system consists of three components that work seamlessly together; the Setup web app, the Collector app and the Analytics web app.
• The Setup web app enables the user to configure the system for their needs, e.g. setting up shift patterns, output targets and scrap codes for the manual or semi-automated processes they want to monitor
• Once setup, the Kt-Pulse app collects data in real-time from these processes. Tablets are placed in flexible gooseneck holders and located at critical manufacturing processes, right where the production operators are working. As the operators carry out their work, they log good units, defects, rework, downtime and changeovers through quick interactions with the app. Logging the data becomes part of their flow, part of their standard work. The progress bar shows them precisely how they are performing versus plan, creating a rhythm for the process.
• As events are logged, the data is sent to a secure cloud-based server. The Kt-Pulse analytics web app presents the data on a range of dashboards and tables to keep everybody in the manufacturing team up-to-date, in real-time. The suite of dashboards are designed with every use case in mind. The live snapshot views give you the key vitals at a glance. The daily and weekly reviews give a more detailed breakdown for team meetings. And the longer term trend charts point to where the biggest improvement opportunities exist.
