ImmunoGenius is an app that recommends pathologists and biology majors to enter antigen-antibody responses, and then statistical analysis suggests what diseases they might have contracted.
Beginning in 2016, we built a basic database containing more than 2500 tumors and 550 immunostaining results and developed a diagnostic estimation algorithm.
- Who are the intended users of this application?
Researchers, Students, Doctors, and the usual users who are interested in pathology and immunohistochemistry (IHC).
The basic purpose of this app is education (It is like an encyclopedia of IHC).
- Is this application intended specifically for use in a lab?
It can be also used in the clinical situation by clinicians or medical students as well as researchers and pathologists working in the labs.
A wide variety of users can use this application.
- Please provide the source of information provided in the app
The major immunohistochemistry (IHC) data of this app is integrated from open public data such as MEDLINE literature and more than15 major textbooks according to IHC.
- What is the accuracy of the information, and suggestions of possible diseases?
The accuracy is about 95% for lymphomas and 75% for tumors of unknown origin and it is under publication. However, the main purpose of this app is not providing disease presumption but more about providing IHC data like an encyclopedia. Therefore, we suggest users not to use this app for interpretation IHC results for making a diagnosis in the clinical situation.
