A few feature requests
If I could suggest some features, I wish we could select a louder buzzer sound closer to what you hear in the original Catchphrase as an option; it can be hard to hear the beeping among the noise of people playing along. The buzzer is a more readily apparent signal the round is over than the pop-up and therefore makes it easier to judge who was holding the phone when it went off. Speaking of the pop-up, having to dismiss the popup at the end of each round is a bit of an unnecessary step, though I recognize some people might like it. Maybe there could be an option to disable it, which would instead just display a short "Time's up!" message somewhere on screen without the need to dismiss it and lock out the next clue. It would also be nice if we could select certain decks to be removed if we're not interested in them (or perhaps just hide them and exclude them from variety categories). If we could also directly edit/merge/add phrases to existing decks, that would be more convenient than having to start at the beginning with new custom decks, though the custom decks is a great feature. This would allow us to take advantage of the work already done in compiling all these phrases. Even if it's just letting us download the lists and do it in a word processor, that's better than nothing. I also notice categories like Entertainment are lacking in entries like famous entertainers and famous movies/tv shows/etc. and categories like Slang are an absolute mess. Slang is not only hopelessly outdated, but also full of terms that aren't even slang at all. The cool thing about this app is that it could be continually updated to always have modern and relevant phrases, unlike the original. Even if we have to do that ourselves, that's just fine. It's sad to see potential which is so achievable limited in that way, though. Another idea is if the timer could be set for a custom amount of time beyond 60 seconds for longer rounds and perhaps select a larger range for randomization. These could just be simple boxes you type parameters into. I wish we could hide the timer in the corner, as I feel it creates more interesting gameplay if you don't know exactly how much longer you have. An option for a nice, big "next" button that instantly displays the next word would be great, too, as opposed to swiping. This simpler interface would also enable faster play and you wouldn't have to put in a stacked card animation. It's also more accessible for people with limited mobility in the hands. You could call it "fast play" or whatever. The stock images for each category aren't what I'd pick either, so I prefer if I could simply disable the art for each category. An ability to sort categories alphabetically, or by most recent would be very handy, too. Finally, some small nitpicks. Being able to merge is important because you made multiple decks with overlapping subject matter. For example we have a "sports" category, a "baseball" category and an "Ncaa" (improperly capitalized) category. Surely, these should all be combined, right? Many of the phrases are also very basic, so including some more advanced terms and multi-word phrases would be great. Also it seems with every instance where a word should be all capitalized, it hasn't been (NCAA, STEM, etc). I'd definitely upgrade to 5 stars if these got implemented and many probably wouldn't be overly difficult to do.

Remove visible timer
Great app but there needs to be an option to remove the countdown so the players don’t know when the round ends. Thanks.
