WEEE R robots: barcode reader

WEEE R robots is a mobile App for primary school teachers involved in WEEE R robots campaigns.

The App is used within the InnoWEEE research project of Digital Society, Fondazione Bruno Kessler.

The InnoWEEE project, funded by EIT Climate KIC, aims to increase the WEEE collection through innovative strategies such as the use of smart bins and the implementation of a web-platform.

The project aims to activate awareness campaigns and efficient WEEE management processes in three pilot areas (Trentino and Campania, in Italy and BathNES in the United Kingdom), both through the regeneration and reuse of still usable devices, and through the correct recycling and evaluation of valuable materials that can be reintroduced into the production cycle.

This App allows teachers, participating in the WEEE R robots campaigns, to read the barcode attached to EEE and WEEE objects brought by children to school and to transmit it to the WEEE R robots Web App, to complete the object classification procedure.
