This app helps to prepare children for the Welsh National Numeracy Tests.
It offers questions set at the right level to let them get the practice they need.
Questions are arranged in sets of about 30. Children answer with an easy to use on-screen keyboard. They get instant feedback - either a tick if they're right, or the correct answer if they're wrong.
There are 133 sets of questions, from year 2 to year 7. Children work through at their own speed. Afterwards they have the option to create a certificate. These certificates motivate children and let them create a record of their own progress. Any certificates are kept as jpeg files in the picture folder.
One set of questions is available for free at each level. Every child in every class from year 2 onwards can benefit straight away.
When you've tried the app and can see the difference it makes, you can then choose to unlock the whole package with a one-off payment.
As teachers, we understand the importance of children's privacy. 'Numeracy' shows no adverts, doesn't require email sign-ins, and collects no personal information. It's completely safe for everyone to use in school and at home.
If lack of access prevents children using 'Numeracy' in full in school, parents have an opportunity to help their children at home. To make sure they find the right app, send them straight to www.maths.wales.
