Program and App - Ok but could be better
I ordered a few subscriptions - this review will cover both: Service- Pros: - affordable - convenient and delivery is timely - tasty food (but I’ve seen recurring options in just 2 weeks) (note: snacks are tiny and not worth it) Cons: - nutritionists communication varies and they don’t provide you with enough info make informed nutrition decisions if you’re actually trying to reach a goal - small portions - cutting corners - not a big deal but as soon as you go off trial, you switch from branded packaging to brown paper bags - not sure if this is a sign where they might cut corners elsewhere. Overall, for service 3/5: useful for convenience of food delivery for busy people. Not helpful if you’re really watching your food intake to reach a goal. Nutritionists don’t provide enough information (ex: how many total calories you should eat a day) and it’s not personalised to you like they advertise. There’s a generic “info guide” in the app that’s provided, that’s all. I worked with 2 nutritionists for my family - one didn’t even reach out after the initial contact. The other is basically there for app support. App- Pros: - can change meals Cons: - limited functionality - for example, you can’t select which days you want delivery (ex: weekends vs weekdays). No way to skip a day on your own. - limited memory - doesn’t retain info once your subscription ends unless you get a new subscription - requires manual searching and logging - provides nutrition facts when you are in the menu but doesn’t actually do anything with the info so you have to manually calculate your nutrition for the day - doesn’t sync with any major health tracker App is basic - functional to the minimum and could be better with some additional features or thought on how the customer might use it. Overall- I’m using the service for the convenience for now. Will continue to see how it goes.
