About Lurgida

Lurgida is a tourist guide for the Basque Country. This APP aims to provide in-depth
knowledge of our country and promote sustainable tourism. It is a tool aimed at both domestic and international tourists. It helps you to visit and get to know different places, projects and celebrations, as well as presenting the Basque Country as a destination for foreign visitors. The combination of sustainable tourism and the primary sector is another of Lurgida's objectives, so it provides information on the farms that enthusiastically welcome campers and motorhomes; guests will also be able to find out about and buy local products directly.
The application includes the following main features:
[+] The location of different towns in the Basque Country, practical information sheets, photos. Currently there is information about 180 villages, towns and cities throughout the Basque Country.
[+] Information, photos and places on various intangible heritage initiatives in the Basque Country (in line
with UNESCO criteria). About 40 pieces of intangible heritage are currently included.
[+] Fact sheets, photos, food and locations of farms and producers throughout the Basque Country. At these farms it is possible to sleep in camper vans or motorhomes, get to know, taste and buy local products.
[+] Tracks, photos and information sheets about the various themed routes that go across the Basque Country.
[*] Searches can be made on the map itself or using the different lists; alphabetically, by classification,
location or date (for heritage items).
[*] In addition to the application, this guide is also available in website format: http://www.lurgida.eus.
[*] The application and website are available in Basque, French, Spanish and English.
Lurgida is an application created by Udalbiltza, a municipal consortium and elected association from all over the Basque Country. It is the only national public body in the Basque Country. Its work centres on local development, cooperation and cohesion between the different peoples of the Basque Country, and independence.
