The MEC™ App is a useful way to access tools, literature, contact information and more right from your mobile device. Resources such as the MEC™ Service Handbook as well as useful links to the full product catalog, MEC™ website, and brochures are available for download.
Use the MEC™ App to electronically fill out the Gas System Check and Gas Appliance System Check.
Gas System Check
Customer Info – Capture customer account information such as the customer Account Number, Email, Address and Invoice Number.
Container Info – Document the tank size, Serial Number, Manufacturer and Date of Manufacturer.
Regulator Check – Use this section to document the regulator location such as the Tank, House, and Garage or add a Customer location. The Vent Position may be selected to be Correct in the Down, Covered, Vent Away or Riser position.
No longer need to keep track of stickers or write down regulator information when using the included Scan function built into the application. Using the camera on the phone and MEC™ domestic regulators, the barcode may be scanned to populate the regulator information. If a regulator does not have a barcode, the information may be added to the regulator check section.
Pressure Test – Performing the Pressure Test is an integral part of the system installation. Using the pressure test function, the technician will be able to set the location the test was performed as well as the starting pressure and ending pressure.
Starting the pressure test automatically documents the time stamp for the start of the test. At the end of the test, it will automatically add the time stamp for the end of the test.
System Leak Test – Similar to the Pressure Test, the System Leak Test may be performed and documented at the location the testing was complete with the starting and end pressure with the time stamp for the beginning and end of the test.
Notes – The technician may document any repair notes or information required for the office on a particular installation.
Installation Photos – Photos of the installation may be added using the phones camera to document the regulators and piping and keep them with the Gas Check Form. The images are not saved to the phones gallery and are only added to the document.
Installation Review – The technician may answer the “Yes” or “No” questions included on the hand written form and electronically sign the document.
Customer Acknowledgement – The customer may answer the “Yes” or “No” questions on the form and electronically sign the document.
Send System Check – Once the form has been completed, a PDF version of the Gas Check form may be emailed to the Customer and office immediately.
