SooperMango is a product of Pavana Vatika Orchards. Pavana (पवन) in sanskrit means a Vedic deity representing the cosmic life of breath. Vatika (वाटिका) means a garden or orchard.
Pavana Vatika Orchard spreading across acres and acres of land commenced in the late 1980's in the verdant surroundings of Thinakallu Village on the outskirts of Chintamani Town which is located on Sira-Thiruvannamalaih national highway in Karnataka State. Our mango trees are nourished under parental care and there are around hundreds of mango trees with all varieties. The major attraction are the Totapuries and Badamis. Pavana Vatika also grows other trees such as Aamla, jackfruits, cashews and blackberries.
The total quantity of mangoes available may vary each year as mangoes are widely known to be irregular bearers in alternate years.
Each tree is subject to multiple harvesting over 3-4 weeks in order to ensure that only ripe and healthy fruits are harvested.
An ancient and time-tested rule of thumb that is followed in our orchard is that they are handpicked only after the birds start to eat some of the fully ripe fruits which clearly indicates that it is the right time for the harvest. The handpicked fruits are then de-sapped below the plant and then transported in crates to a mango pack house where they are gently washed (to remove any residual sap)and air dried. They are then placed in crates and kept inside the latest low-cost ripening chambers that have been designed and approved by the Karnataka Mango Board for assisting natural ripening of mangoes, for 24 hours. This method is universally approved all over the world including the USA and European Union.
We at Pavana Vatika sell all varieties of mangoes like Totapuri, Mallika, Neelam, Mulgoa, Aphonso, Sendhoora.
