Firmware issues
Cup stops working after firmware update. Heat turns off on its own. Even though update said it fixes this problem.

Poor user experience
I know this is half the price of the Ember mug, but ultimately you get what you pay for. There are several issues with this product. Number one, the app user experience is extremely poor. It constantly disconnects from your mug, which means you have to re-pair the mug with your app every single time. There’s no user manual in the app, so I don’t even know how to pair it sometimes; it’s hit or miss. I think you just press the button for two seconds or something, but the Bluetooth connection is very inconsistent. Number two, the battery lasts less than two hours at 145°F - more like 1.5 hours, so you’re only getting about 30 more minutes compared to the Ember mug. Additionally, the app doesn’t allow you to preset the temperature; every time you close the app, it defaults back to the manufacturer’s preset. The charger plate is quite big compared to the Ember mug too - kind of bulky. I will be returning this mug. I am very disappointed. Yes, it is half the price of the Ember mug, but I would gladly pay more for a more premium feel, a better app, and a more consistent user experience. The frustration with this mug and the app is not worth saving $50.
