About meatless - meat intake tracker

meatless is a free food tracker / meal tracker for meat consumption, so it’s basically like a diary for your diet!
Keep an overview of your daily meat consumption and learn how you can help your health and the environment with it.

Who is meatless for?
Everyone! If you are a flexitarian, the app can help you to reduce your meat consumption. If you already live vegetarian, pescetarian or vegan, the app offers you useful information on CO2 and water consumption.
At the moment, this app is mainly intended for flexitarians, i.e. for people who are actively looking to consume less meat, but as stated above, it can also be used as a vegetarian, pescetarian or vegan.


Why should I eat less meat?
* The production of meat produces a lot of Co2 and uses lots of water and is therefore very harmful to the environment.
* If you do without meat, you spare a lot of innocent animals.

Features:

* Co2 tracker
* meatless offers you a built-in Co2 calculator that shows how many kilograms of Co2 you have saved.
* The values that serve as the basis for this calculation vary for each country and for the type of meat you consume.
* If you create an entry, the following types of meat are available: fish, pork, beef, poultry and lamb.
* Water tracker
* Similar to the Co2 calculator, the water calculator calculates how many liters of water you save if you do without meat.
* Challenges
* Compared to other food tracker apps, meatless offers many challenges to complete.
* Calendar
* The calendar offers a perfect overview of previous entries.

* The app reminds you every day to record your eating behavior.

Can’t easily backlog.

I’ve been meat free since spring of 1996. I’d like to be able to put in the start date and see what I’ve helped since that date but there is no way I can see to do that without logging each individual day. I will change the rating if I get assistance on how to do that

Great Tool!

As a brand new flexitarian, I am loving this tool to help me keep track of my eating habits throughout the week! I like the education that’s built into the app, and the trackers that illustrate how my eating habits help the environment around me. The only thing I wish it had was the ability to journal. It would be great to not only show that I had a meatless day, but also what I chose to eat that day and maybe what I thought of the meal? For someone trying new recipes, it would be very helpful to have that feature and I would willingly pay a subscription fee for that feature in addition to the goalsetting feature you have to pay for now. Also, note to the developer - you have a typo in the very first screen once the app is downloaded. It should say “save the environment” and not “safe the environment”. :) Thank you for this great tool!
