If talking on the phone has been an obstacle due to hearing loss, now’s the time to connect again with what matters most in your life.
FEDERAL LAW PROHIBITS ANYONE BUT REGISTERED USERS WITH HEARING LOSS FROM USING INTERNET PROTOCOL (IP) CAPTIONED TELEPHONES WITH THE CAPTIONS TURNED ON. Automatic speech recognition software generates captions of what the other party to the call says, and, in certain circumstances, a live communications assistant may be included on the call to make needed corrections and/or add call details. The captions are then sent to the phone. There is a cost for each minute of captions generated, paid from a federally administered fund. To learn more, visit fcc.gov. Third-party charges may apply: the Hamilton CapTel phone requires high-speed internet access (Wi-Fi capable) and in some cases, may require telephone service. When using Hamilton CapTel on a smartphone or tablet and not on Wi-Fi, a data plan is required. Hamilton CapTel may be used to make 911 calls but may not function the same as traditional 911 services. One of The Best Captioning Apps
I really enjoy usingthis app, it gives me the ability to see a transcript of the conversations as it is being spoken. I discovered this app two years ago and decided to try it out. I use this app daily and it worked fine and the captions are fairly accurate. While using the app, I had two issues. First off is with the dial pad. Wen I want to enter a number, the keypad is not fully visible with Voiceover (screen reader software). So, had to turn it off in order to make it wirk, which was frustrating and is still happening to this day. Finally, when making and receive calls, the audio sounded very choppy and was cutting out no matter if I used speakerphone or a headset. After noticing the issue, I contacted customer service via email to resolve the situation. Although I never received a response to my email, the calling issue was fixed in a later update. I am now using the app again, and it is working great.

Unable to use app after using it for over a year…
The app is not loading my profile. It will not even open past the point where it has a loading symbol and saying loading profile… and then it won’t load. Help! Is there a bug??
