Gastronomy Tours aims to bring visitors close to producers and businesses of culinary products, to witness the production process, to participate in several activities related to the production process, to discover the gastronomical customs and traditions of Greece and a whole new world of its gastronomic delights!
How it works
The interested party (visitor) may choose to visit a producer or a museum depending on:
· The gastronomical type of product of interest (wine, honey, olive oil, etc.)
· The destination (Attica, Peloponnese, Thessaly, etc.) or through a map showing all the producers.
· The month of the visit.
The platform will display a series of producers that match the request; the user then makes the final selection based on the profile of each producer, in which information on the experience on offer is provided.
Should the visitor make a reservation with the producer he is interested in, he pays a reservation fee at Gastronomy Tours online and the producer receives then automatically an email and eventually a notification on his mobile phone, if he so wishes, informing him that someone made a reservation for a certain number of visitors, day, and time. The producer must respond within 24 hours at the latest to the request, otherwise, the visitor will receive an automated message that the producer is not available.
If the producer accepts the reservation by clicking “Accept request” in the email he received, the visitor will receive an electronic coupon, with the reservation details, that he will use as the receipt of his reservation, which he will hand to the producer upon arrival and pay the price of the tour or the activity directly to the producer.
Should the producer not accept the reservation, he clicks “Reject request” and the visitor will receive an email informing him that the producer is not available and the reservation fee will be automatically and immediately refunded.
However, the producer has the ability to send a message to the visitor with a different proposal to receive him at another time. If this proposal is convenient to the visitor, then the visitor can make a new request with the proposal as suggested by the producer, and proceed with a new booking.
Should the visitor make any purchases from the producer, then the producer must provide a discount of €2.50/person (i.e. the reservation fee) for purchases over €12/person, or a 15% discount for purchases over €20/person.
