About Adam Clarke Bible Commentary.

Adam Clarke (1762–1832) wrote his Bible Commentary with the goal of making Scripture understandable and practical for everyday readers—not just scholars. His work provides both the historical background and the spiritual meaning of the Bible, helping believers apply God’s Word to daily life.
Clarke’s commentary dives into the customs, geography, and languages of the biblical world, giving readers a clear sense of the context behind the Scriptures. This makes it especially helpful for understanding why certain events, teachings, or phrases were expressed the way they were in biblical times.
Over the years, Adam Clarke’s Commentary has become one of the most widely used Bible resources. It remains popular among pastors, Bible teachers, and students who want a comprehensive yet approachable explanation of the Scriptures. Its blend of scholarship and accessibility ensures that readers can gain a deeper appreciation of the Bible without feeling overwhelmed by overly complex theology.

Be careful of this one

Read 2 Timothy 2:26 in the physical book of Adam Clarke’s Commentary then look it up here. In this app there is a long drawn-out comment on this verse where the book doesn’t mention it at all. And other than giving comments from various other Bible scholars about the verse, the comment has nothing to do with the scripture and doesn’t even make sense.
