Jullundur Gymkhana, established in 1958 is run by our Executive Committee comprising The Divisional Commissioner, Jalandhar being the ex-officio President and The Deputy Commissioner, (Collector) Jalandhar being the ex-officio Sr. Vice President apart from 14 elected members i.e four office bearers namely Junior Vice President, Hon'y Secretary , Joint Secretary, treasurer and 10 Executive members.
The Jullundur Gymkhana, Jalandhar, Punjab, is one of the premier clubs in India. It came into its existence as "Jullundur Gymkhana" in the year 1958 as a registered society from its old name "The imperial Jullundur Gymkhana Club". The club is adjoining to the Divisional Commissioner residence located in the posh locality called Old Baradari in which all senior government officers reside and which is also the heart of the city. The club is having nearly 6 acres of land with open lawns and green areas located all over the club.
The club is essentially a family oriented club with nearly 3,600 members comprising industrialists, professionals, businessmen and also senior government officers. Graduation is the minimum qualification prescribed for becoming a member of the club. Membership in Jullundur Gymkhana Club is a privilege and is a social recognition for its members. The club can boast of excellent facilities comparable with any star hotels with ultramodern Gym, Lawn Tennis, Table Tennis, Squash and Indoor Badminton Courts. The Club has excellent Bar and Restaurant and also open Bar. The club is also having billiards and swimming pools and also has facilities for screening movies in open air theatre. The club is known for its cosmopolitan outlook as members are drawn from different religious communities and also belong to different regions of the country who are working or serving in the city of Jalandhar.
