Breath Prayers
In a church Bible Study recently, I was taught about ‘breath prayers’ and how they are rooted in eastern mysticism. They are introduced as being ‘Christian’ and to help you in your growth with God. I downloaded the Messenger X app several years ago, having learned about it from a friend. I have found the teachings on the app to be very helpful to my spiritual growth. Last week, after not being on the app for about 2 years, I went on it. I was very surprised and even horrified to find “breath prayers” on the app. They are presented as being helpful to falling asleep with the narrator saying that they are a Christian and that this type of prayer was used by ‘ancient Christians’. I want to encourage anyone reading this to do your own research on ‘breath prayers’. I can say from listening to a little of it on the app and doing my own research that they are very dangerous, and if practiced, may lead a person to places spiritually that they don’t want to be. I have since deleted the app.

I love all the teachings on this app. Helps me with my walk and my own personal Bible study. I’ve seen new truths about walking and navigating everyday life and wanting to be more like Jesus.
