Black Seed Bagels is a modern-day bagel shop steeped in old-world tradition, led by James Beard-nominated head baker Dianna Daoheung. Since opening in 2014, the shop has become an integral part of the “bagel revolution,” pushing the boundaries of how bagels are made in NYC, while holding true to its principles. When reading the news of your opening in WPB and being an original day one customer of Pop Up Bagels on Thompson St NYC, I was excited to visit your store on Fern St. As I approached the store, there were 8 people standing outside. No designated line, no stanchions, to sign to mark the direction of the line. I entered the store to be asked to leave immediately. “It’s not a retail store”. No sign on door! I approached the window not realizing other patrons were ahead of me, two gracious and equally confused gents. When I finally got to the window, greeted by a lady sitting on the window/ counter I ordered 2 plain and 2 everything bagels. “Sorry we don’t sell bagels to go”. “We can only sell 2 bagels per person”. Ok, I’ll have 2 & 2. “No only 2 per person “. I’m ordering 2 for my wife in the car in front of the store. “Sorry, that would be a separate order”. I tendered a cash payment, “Sorry, credit only”. As a restaurant owner for 42 years with over 40 F&B operations throughout the USA, PLEASE get your act together. Whether I return or not, I want your concept to work. You’ve made this too complicated, too unorganized and you haven’t earned the pedigree to be so inhospitable. Best of good luck to you.

3 stars because it works, -2 because it’s so inefficient

It takes 8 clicks on different windows to reorder an existing order with Apple Pay. This is unacceptable these days from a software design perspective. Should be max 2. Would be an easy fix and provide a lot of benefit to the customer.
