The myMUB mobile application is a tool meant to facilitate the functioning of English-speaking students, PhD students and scientists at the Medical University of Bialystok (MUB) as well as their quick integration with the entire MUB academic community.
In particular, the application is meant to ease getting around the university campus and Bialystok for new students. The content of the app includes also essential information about University, admission and many tips for foreign students. The app is a comprehensive guide for new students or foreign guests, including contact details of Dean’s Offices and MUB units, Welcome Centre, information on dormitories, student organisations as well as about city transport, legalisation of stay, security and healthcare in Poland.
Here, students have the opportunity to check syllabuses, class schedules, study regulations, and easily contact the English Division Dean's Office. Two useful tools are also available: exchange rate calculator and schedule, a day plan management tool integrated with the smartphone calendar.
Due to the fact that the mobile app includes tips and information about Białystok and the Podlaskie region, the app could be also useful for Polish students of the MUB as well as students from other universities located in the city.
After expansion, the app allows you to log in to your personal profile, check your individual schedule and receive important notifications directed to the exact person, study year or exercise group. Moreover, you will keep up to date with events organised at the University thanks to one of the modules. Upgrade of the campus map module, by adding photo miniatures of some buildings, virtual walks, and closest parking lots, will facilitate using this functionality. Furthermore, you can check an exchange rate of foreign currencies in relation to each other, including new currencies such as Swiss franc, Canadian dollar, Indian rupee, Yuan renminbi. In addition, the app is more accessible thanks to a possibility to change a contrast and font size.
The expansion of the myMUB mobile application is created as part of the project entitled "All roads lead to the MUB. Modern tools for the development of international promotion and the use of IT technology in building the University's potential".
The project is financed by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange under the Welcome to Poland (2020) programme.
