MapTrail keeps tabs on your whereabout when on the go and maps out a trail. It can be used to plot your walking, hiking or jogging trail, cycling path or the route you have taken while in a transport. It works in the background so you don't have to keep the app opened all the time while traveling. Map all your hiking trails and layout the trails on one map in My Footprints and share it!
With the new Hi-Trails module, you can browse for trails and check out interesting spots near the trails. Add Hi-Trails to your tracking map and simply follow them.
Note: Hi-Trails are currently available for Singapore only and some trails may require in-app purchases. More trails will be added in due course.
With the aid of widgets, trail and/or health data can be displayed in mini-windows without having to keep launching the app to check trail progress.
The app will also retrieve step count, flights climbed, walked distance and walking speed from Health app for the trail duration only. When travelling in any transports, the travelled distance and speed will also be computed.
GPS accuracy settings and update intervals can be adjusted depending on your preference. At the end of the journey, share the trail with anyone or on social media.
