GAINS®

Guiding Technologies, a spin-off of Temple University, is building technology to convert expertise into expert guidance. GAINS® (Guidance, Assessment, and Information System), which runs on tablets and phones, is powered by expert guiding software that uniquely incorporates knowledge of techniques used in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy, Speech Language Therapy (SLT), and Occupational Therapy (OT). GAINS assists instructors and caregivers to help mitigate developmental challenges due to Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), intellectual disabilities (ID), and neuro-related disabilities such as speech loss due to strokes. While GAINS® reduces the burdens of data collection and automates report generation, it is not merely a data collection app. Like Google Maps that guides you step-by-step and updates as you go along, GAINS® guides instructors and caregivers to provide quality instruction and adapts to the learner’s progress on the fly.
