This app is a part of the StethoMe medical device. It is certified according to Council Directive 93/42/EEC of 14 June 1993 (MDD). As such it can be used jointly with StethoMe electronic stethoscope as a class 2a medical device in the jurisdiction of EU, CH and UK.
StethoMe® enables easy and quick monitoring of asthma symptoms in children. It is the first system that detects respiratory system abnormalities.
How does StethoMe work?
This solution enables performing unassisted auscultation at home:
- The StethoMe mobile application sends the sounds recorded using the StethoMe stethoscope to the StethoMe AI algorithms.
- These medical algorithms analyse the recording and notify immediately of any abnormalities appearing in the lungs.
- The sounds recorded can be sent to a doctor for diagnosis and remote consultation.
The application's module dedicated to asthma establishes the intensity of wheezes and rhonchi and enables measuring the respiratory rate, heart rate, and inhalation/exhalation ratio.
The StethoMe system is a certified medical device. The asthma module is currently in the testing phase.
The most recent user manual is available at https://stethome.com/manuals.
Using the application requires connecting with a StethoMe® stethoscope via Bluetooth.
Never diagnose the patient on your own solely on the basis of the results obtained using this device.
Only a doctor may order treatment and diagnose respiratory system diseases.
