About Alabama Field Guide
This app was created for contractors & engineers in Alabama to have Installation, Maintenance & seeding/mulching information on Erosion & Sediment Control projects at their fingertips.
The app is designed with interactive tables to calculate seeding rates and also a program to calculate the amount of live seed needed by using information from the seeding rates tables and the purity & germination percentages.
The PLS (pure live seed) Calculator uses Apple UI design resources.
The app also contains contact information with telephone number & email addresses ready to be called straight from the app to contact offices/departments for reporting chemical spills, improper disposal hazardous waste or retaining proper permits for the projects at hand.
The committee (Alabama Soil & Water Conservation Committee) wanted to make the information more available to the contractors/engineers with this app.
Making this app for our Alabama contractors to be able to download and use at no cost to them is a service provided by the Alabama Soil & Water Conservation Committee.
