John Walker Gray, yes, that is his given name, was born and grew up in Glasgow. Having served 5 years in the military and 22 years in the police service, he turned his hand to writing, acting, life coaching and photography.
He was part of the Outlander TV show as a supporting actor in seasons 1,2 and 3, from a merchant, field worker, beggar, highlander and yes, even a redcoat.
The idea of the app was an easy step to take having been in and around many of the locations.
The app itself is designed to take you around many of the filming sites from the first 3 seasons both from the comfort of your own home and if you manage to visit Scotland, then as a way of moving around Scotland in real time.
There are many pictures and descriptions of the locations and using the map service available, it is easy to find your way around them on the ground.
The routes themselves are laid out to be within easy reach of both Glasgow and Edinburgh or any place you find yourself in Scotland.
This app is a great way to see the sites that you have read about and seen on the TV and a way of seeing the actual locations as they are situated in and around Scotland.
