We believe every engineer in our country needs respect and growth which they truly deserve. Somehow, in our present company culture, most companies management and HR professionals are less bothered about working engineers' learning and growth. They are just treated as machines whose No. 1 work is to give the best output but without time and effort in their training and mentoring by seniors.
Good Boss vs Bad Boss
The problem is with both of them. Nobody teaches our young working engineers in the companies. Good boss being busy doesn't have time to share his knowledge and the bad boss has a lot of insecurity and feels that if tell his juniors, he will lose his job!
So, nobody is teaching the essential skills in the job to our young working engineers. Then, how they will grow and add real value to the companies?
Like most engineers NOT aware of quality tools, management systems, auditing skills, core tools, etc. which are essential for them to know and apply in their career.
The Problem
The offline training if sometimes planned by company HR majority of the time does lack in the quality of trainers, no hand-holding, no assignments, no access to trainer after training, no access to best training material, cramming all information in a day or two :-(
And if engineers want to attend the classroom training, the cost is very high and not affordable, they need to travel, need to apply leave and so many headaches to our young engineers.
All the above factors act as negative and stop the learning and growth of these engineers.
This results in engineers failing in the interview too often, not able to reply confidently to certification bodies, customers and company top management itself.
