About pillphill - pill counter

Designed for healthcare professionals. Non-healthcare professionals should consult their healthcare providers before use.

pillphill is your portable pill counter that is right on your device! Count tablets and capsules with a snap or in realtime*. Accuracy rates are as high as 99% with our cloud-assisted count technology.

pillphill is great for:
-Small community pharmacies that traditionally count by hand with a pill tray
-Large pharmacies when the dispensing robot and electronic counter are backed up
-Primary care offices, for the occasional time, a large volume of medication needs to be counted
-Inventory and stock audits

Accuracy rates from internal testing:
-99% circular tablets
-98% other tablets
-96% capsules

pillphill works best with less than 100 pills at a time.

If the count is off, simply tap the detections to add or remove pills. When in Live mode, first pause, and then make corrections. We found accounting for corrections, pillphill can still be faster than the traditional pill tray.

Use the sum-up feature (+) to add counts between pill trays and get a running total.

Free for light users:
Every user receives 10 minutes (600 seconds) of cloud-assisted compute time daily. This amount is enough to support the counting of approximately 60 pill trays. More pills at a time use more compute time. The slower but higher accuracy snap mode count uses 6-10 seconds of computing. Live mode* uses between 0-2 seconds per second, depending on the number of pills. After about 10 minutes of usage or 60 pill trays, the application will no longer count pills until the next day.

Professional subscription:
For those finding themselves using the application for more than the allotted compute time, we have the Professional subscription: a monthly, auto-renewing subscription that allows for unlimited usage and no ads!

pillphill is designed to work with or without an internet connection (some features and accuracy may vary).

Requires iOS 13.0 or later

Inaccurate

It counted wayyyy more than there actually was. I’m not even sure where the extra it was counting was coming from considering my workspace was clean. It’d be a good app if it counted correctly

CHRi.O.

Didn’t count correctly even once.

I tried it several times over the course of a week and always had to correct it. I understand that it’s ultimately up to you to make sure it’s correct, counters are not perfect. However more often than not it was so far off that I was amazed. Additionally, the blue box marker that appears on the detected items is large and obscures the defining edges of the tabs/capsules so when there are a lot of tabs close together it hinders your ability to clearly identify and mark undetected ones.
