About Townscaper
No goal. No real gameplay. Just plenty of building and plenty of beauty. That's it.
Townscaper is an experimental passion project. More of a toy than a game. Pick colors from the palette, plop down colored blocks of house on the irregular grid, and watch Townscaper's underlying algorithm automatically turn those blocks into cute little houses, arches, stairways, bridges and lush backyards, depending on their configuration.

I had high hopes for Townscaper and I love the mechanics of it…but it’s boring and repetitive. I’m not sure what purpose it’s supposed to serve and it feels more like a demo than a game you actually paid for. There’s only so much you can do with the same couple of shapes, colors, and builds to repurpose. What I love about building games it leaves your mind open to imagination, to create a world from starch and tell a story from it. I touched it a couple times before logging off because, what else can you do if it gives you nothing? I wish it would get an update since, I played several of the games from this studio and seem to run into the same problems relating to the issues I have with this game and I hope that changes since they’re filled with so much unfinished potential.

Love this game! Have some fun ideas too!
This game was something I saw on instagram and thought “why not?”, turns out this game is highly addictive and turns hours of Boredom into hours of fun. The ideas I have are allowing there to be people walking around the cities and going into buildings. It’d be really fun to see how the people react to new buildings, weather, and other things! I’d also like to see boats going through the water systems and some fishermen on the boats too!
