The WaterNav App provides you with an opportunity to try out our progress in developing the latest and greatest version of WaterNav.
WaterNav are pleased to announce that a new free account system has been introduced. Users can still utilise the app without an account however, account holders will benefit from new features such as live POI updates and booking engine services. As a component of the new system, River Canal Rescue members will automatically be granted access to a special RCR interface that will offer exclusive features. RCR members will be able to access their membership details, see their RCR history, log callouts, book services, and request additional works. They will also be able to utilise a new arrival aid system which will allow them to track their engineer in real time.
The new WaterNav app is still under highly active development, with some features of the old app not yet available.
WaterNav apps provide an enormous amount of really useful, easy access, information and make use of Smartphone GPS to show everything relative to where you are. The maps display thousands of continually updated points of interest (such as pubs, shops, vets, diesel, moorings, etc), as well as all the waterway information such as locks, bridges, turning points, etc. These are the essential towpath companions for boaters, ramblers, cyclists, or anyone else enjoying the waterways.
An essential feature of WaterNav is that the maps are available offline, so there is no interruption due to the poor Internet connection on the canals!
