About Pacefactory

This app combined with the Pacefactory Analytics Server will allow an organization to communicate the potential to improve the Safety, Quality, Compliance and Efficiency of their organization by sharing in the observation of events and situations that are not easily visible today. The use of visual examples and a social method of collaboration will improve the ability to communicate and comment on examples submitted by anyone within the organization.

Pacefactory does the opposite of most security systems – it masks the identity of people instead of trying to identify who they are. The goal of utilizing video is to improve an operation or process that leads to increased efficiency and productivity resulting in the company being more competitive and profitable. It is best used as a way to understand the current state or understand a recurring problem. It is NOT to be used for discipline or supervision. Traditional applications of video make no attempt to protect the identity of the people in the videos. Thus, it becomes a threat to individuals participating in the video, and they have a natural resistance to being recorded. Ghosting of individuals to mask their identity, removes this concern and helps plant floor operators embrace the technology instead of resisting it. Particularly when they see that the outcome of the video analytic is to make their job easier with fewer issues and better processes. Often the solutions make everyone’s life better as a result of the application of these new techniques. Some of our best customers have told us that operators prefer to be recorded, so they can communicate with management the issues that are preventing them from doing their job.

The application of video analytics to solve efficiency, productivity and quality issues will advance manufacturers to a new level of competitiveness. The platform created by this project will be reusable in problem solving and manufacturing optimization going forward as it’s largely dependent on machine learning and AI algorithms that evolve over time and get “smarter”, to solve future problems faster and with higher accuracy.
