Intermittently Works, Poor Support
I’ve donated to Cascade PBS and KCTS9 every year. The apps intermittently work, sometimes don’t recognize me despite recent donations. Customer support is poor. Very frustrating. The response that I received from a developer was to contact Donor and Audience Relations. Seriously?! They can’t fix the issues with your software app!

PBS app so much better
The Cascade PBS app is a poor substitute for the PBS app. Two examples: when I searched for an episode title I found it easily on the PBS app but the same search yielded nothing on this one. Also, I want to save an episode in a series (like American Experience) but I can’t seem to do so in this app. Cascade PBS - if you’re gonna offer a local alternative, you need to do it well!

Doesn’t work
They are happy to take your money. App doesn’t do anything. Be careful, if for some reason you do send them money, because the default is for monthly payments, which you may not have intended. They deserve to fade from existence. Dishonest and incompetent.

Great When it Works
The app both on my phone and on our our Fire TV works intermittently. We have tried it on internal and external drives. It’s so frustrating to not be able to just have regular access to it when you’ve paid a donation and you’re getting into a show and its characters but can’t watch it when you want to half of the time. When it does decide to open up, there have been no problems.

Frustrating
Completely confusing… registered with AppleID. Monthly subscription debited from my account and can not log in without doing another donation. Can’t use it. Frustrating customer experience

Fail!
Before releasing an app you need to test it. I paid $60 for year subscription and….nothing. You made the ability to charge a credit card right. But the app doesn’t work at all—and no access to Apple TV either. Get it together, or pull it until ready.

Alli said to download the app
Alli said download the app, so I did, and now my life is sufficiently enriched.

Just great
I love PBS, but have found their app frustrating at times, so imagine my delight that the new KCTS9 app is so nice to use! I have it on both my phone and Roku, and it’s straightforward and well thought-out on both. The only issue I’ve had is that I have accidentally skipped forward a few times when trying to pause in the phone app, which I think is more an issue of getting used to the UI than a development problem. I know I’ll make more use of my Passport subscription now. Kudos to KCTS9!

Keeps skipping ahead
While I love the app, I find that when watching my show at the end of one it skips to halfway through the next episode.
