A functional foundation with room to grow
This app fills a need for those of us addicted to Gacha games. As more and more devs implement mechanics that involve real-world time, being able to (at a glance) view those timers is fantastic. I am surprised there aren’t more like it on the store. The base functionality is simple. You are able to setup timers, recharge rates, and adjust resource amount through a slider or manual entry. There is even a widget offered so that you can place a tile on your Home Screen to track stamina without ever opening the application. While the core functionality is there, there are several features missing that would make this the ultimate quality of life upgrade for Gacha gamers: - The ability to quickly decrement from your resource total in steps instead of using the slider or manual entry. (Example: a “-20, -30, -40” or interaction). Adjusting the total via slider is very inaccurate when making fine adjustments and manual entry is cumbersome - Configuration of the widget: The widget attempts to display more information then necessary for “at a glance” interaction. Being able to configure it to show less and increase it’s font size would be very helpful. Bonus points for offering color configuration! The blue background of the widget isn’t very neutral and the white on black text could be made more readable with some color adjustments. - iCloud data syncing: For those with multiple devices (iPad, iPhone), the data in the application does not sync between these devices. If you own more then one iOS device, you will only be using this application on one at the moment. This is a solid foundation. A big thank you to the developer for a great start!
