Welcome and thank you for your interest in our research.
This study is part of a collaboration between researchers at the Arizona State University in the United States and Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology in South Korea. The project investigates user experience of haptic sensations. We study how people perceive and describe vibration patterns from mobile phones and what algorithms and software tools can facilitate creation of rich haptic experiences by designers and developers.
To participate in this experiment, you must:
- Be 18 years of age or older.
- Understand English at a B2 level.
- Not have any sensory impairment (e.g., numbness) in your hands.
- You must complete this experiment on an iPhone 8 or a later version with iOS 16.1 or later.
