SafeMeal

SafeMeal helps people with food allergies learn to cook delicious allergy-safe food and develop healthy diets. There are eight categories of foods to select, and the person can browse over sixty allergy-safe recipes that indicate which of the six main allergens they contain. SafeMeal also provides customized substitutions for each food allergy, so no matter what allergy you have, you can still enjoy any recipe on SafeMeal. SafeMeal provides insights, tips, and optimism about living with food allergies. This app was created by an undergraduate student at Yale who has many food allergies and is excited to share her recipes and insights with other people with food allergies.
