About World Capitals Trainer

Knowing the world’s capital cities helps build a clear understanding of geography, international news and global relationships. Being able to link a country with its capital provides context for events and makes it easier to navigate maps and global discussions. This app offers a structured and sustainable learning system designed to support long-term memory rather than short-term quiz recall.

At the center is an adaptive spaced repetition system that adjusts review intervals based on your real memory performance. If you recall a capital after a longer delay than expected, the interval increases. If you hesitate or make a mistake, the interval shortens without resetting your overall progress. This ensures that practice time is spent exactly where reinforcement is needed.

Two learning modes support complementary forms of practice. Multiple Choice allows rapid training and helps build early confidence. Self-Assessment strengthens active recall: you attempt the answer yourself first, then evaluate whether you knew it, almost knew it or did not know it. This approach is proven to improve long-term retention.

The app includes 200 capital cities organized into regions: America (36), Africa (57), Europe (45), Asia (48) and Oceania (14). You can freely select which regions to study and choose the direction of questions: Country → Capital or Capital → Country. These settings can be changed at any time without losing progress.

Each region has a dedicated test. All items appear once, and results award a silver or gold medal depending on your score. Tests offer a clear way to measure your improvement over time.

A complete card browser is included for exploring capitals independently of learning sessions.
