PARC stands for Patient Assessment & Research Center and is a program by the independent Dutch non-profit patient organisation KGVP Foundation. The KGVP focusses on better quality of health care according to patients. Which means the patient is the starting point of all health care and patients should have a significant role in how, when and why they should be treated for their health issues. Crazy to say this, but patients do not have that role....yet.
That is why we created: EasyROM Selfcare
The EasyROM Selfcare app is a FREE (as in GRATIS, NO COST, NO CHARGE, NO FEE) and ANONYMOUS measuring tool for your health, that you can use unlimitedly.
To explain it more simple: similar to what a thermometer does measuring body temperature, EasyROM Selfcare does this for symptoms that are harder to measure, but really exist, because they affect your health and quality of life. When those symptoms , like fatigue, physical function, depression, anxiety, relationship with friends/family/co-workers and so on, have a negative impact on your health and way of life, you most likely want help to cope, recover or be cured, just to get on with your life. Now, EasyROM Selfcare is the only free app, you, me, everybody in the world who speak English, can measure the severity and intensity of our health concerns, symptoms and complaints using very short, scientifically proven and intelligent questionnaires.
DISCLAIMER:
EasyROM is NOT a medical diagnostic tool. It will NOT give medical advice, it will NOT explain your symptoms, it will NOT tell you what to do. It is intended for informational use only, any medical explanation of the measurement scores are only to be done by a certified medical professional.
What are the Measurement instruments built into EasyROM?
The KGVP is the only Dutch non-profit patient organisation officially licensed by the world renowned Northwestern University (in Evanston, Illinois/USA), through the HealthMeasures research team, as a worldwide distributor of the state-of-the-science HealthMeasures measurement systems (HMMS) for measuring health related symptoms and complaints in a scientifically proven way. HealthMeasures is a research group, funded by the the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to expand and automate use of four state-of-the-science measurement systems: PROMIS®, NIH Toolbox®, Neuro-QoL™, and ASCQ-Me®. The HealthMeasures Measurement Systems were created and validated by hundreds of scientists.
HealthMeasures are reliable, person-centered, concise, cost-effective, flexible, and applicable in multiple settings and patient populations. They are scored on a common metric creating a common language to enhance communication between clinicians and patients, as well as improve patient care and research quality. Results are reproducible and can be available in real time.

Privacy:
EasyROM SelfCare is not only free and unlimited but also anonymous. We DO NOT and WILL NOT EVER save, transfer or record any personal and sensitive information as defined by European GDPR privacy laws. This app is not able to track you down to an individual level.
The OPTIONAL registration form questions are not mandatory. If you want to use EasyROM SelfCare without answering those questions, you are free to do so. That optional information is used however, for research purposes, to enhance the quality of your scores. Because it allows researchers to finetune the data for future use in their projects. For research it is not needed to know WHO you are, but it is important to know where you come from, what age category, your ethnic background, etc. All of which is not individually indentifiable information. No one can discover who you really are.
It is for this reason also, that a username and password is generated by the app. We do not know that information, only you. So keep that information safe, as we cannot recover your account if you lose the information.
