Estimate fluid status of a patient at bedside using ultrasound of the internal jugular vein.
Step by step guide:
1. Position the patient supine
2. Turn the patient's neck to their left
3. Identify the sternocleidomastoid muscle
4. Image the internal jugular vein at the apex of the sternocleidomastoid muscle
5. The patient should be breathing normally, do not apply external pressure
6. Use M-mode to measure maximum and minimum anteroposterior diameters
7. Ask the patient to sniff and assess collapsibility
8. Feed the numbers in the app
