OnMyBehalf was built to catch the underdogs of this social world and provide more than just dates, but companionship, friends and more. OMB allows users to create a profile on their friend’s behalf. From there, users can swipe for themselves and chat (within the app) with their friends/matchmakers, or they can even approve their matchmakers to exclusively swipe for them. This feature allows all types of persons to enter the online pool- no matter how old, handicapable or shy a person may be- sometimes we just need a loved one, friend or caregiver to facilitate.

Today’s apps use algorithms, but our ancestors relied on actual humans to introduce them to compatible partners. Online apps are still only the second most common way for people to meet-- meeting through friends remains number one. OnMyBehalf combines the two. It allows your inner circle to not only help you start your social journey (by literally creating an account on your behalf) but they can also help you choose your matches by swiping for you. Within the app users can chat with their trusted matchmakers about any profile---the more the merrier.

OMB also introduces a new “maybe” swipe option. This allows users to consult with their matchmaker without halting their swiping of profiles. When a match is made, breaking the ice can be uncomfortable. With most social apps, users can go an indefinite amount of time without interacting. OMB helps alleviate this awkwardness by automatically prompting users to start a fun short game such as tic-tac -toe or two truths and a lie; passively learning about one another, fostering connections. OMB was built to help facilitate these connections and make meeting people feel more organic from swipe to finish.
