In 2021, the Ephorate of Antiquities of Phocis, a Regional Service of the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and Sports, implemented, through state funding, the creation of a digital virtual tour of the Archaeological Museum of Delphi intended for mobility- and hearing-impaired persons, in the context of Greece’s National Action Plan for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. The action is subsumed under the National Action Plan for “culture, physically and mentally accessible to all” and forms part of a broader set of undertakings launched at the Archaeological Site and Museum of Delphi, addressed to people with mobility and vision impairment, such as the production of information panels and printed material in Braille writing system, as well as the provision of tactile tour programmes and the arrangement of visits with a special electric vehicle for people with mobility impairment.
