Moderation is an app designed to help you track your alcohol consumption by logging your drinks and showing simple statistics about your drinking. Data is saved in the Health app: it's private between you and your phone.
The app uses the UK standard for measuring drinking: “units” of alcohol (1 unit is 10ml of pure alcohol). The British government recommends drinking fewer than 14 units per week, and visual cues will show when you are close to or going over that limit. You can customise the limit in the settings.
Future versions of this app will add different units and different national standards for measuring drinking – if there’s one you’d particularly like to see, or if you’d like to see a different feature added, please email developer@johncoxon.co.uk.
This app should not be used instead of consulting a medical professional. If you are worried about your drinking or you need help, please talk to a doctor.
Moderation links to HealthKit, using the alcohol consumption category.
