Thiruneri offers the complete collection of ‘Thirumurai’, a 12 part compendia of songs written on Lord Shiva by 63 Saiva Nayanmars, in Tamil language between the 6th to 11th century in Tamil nadu. In the 12th century, Nambiyandar Nambi, on the wishes of Raja Raja Chola, the great chola emperor, compiled the first seven volumes by Appar, Sampandhar and Sundarar as Tevaram. In due course of time, the other works related to Shaiva literature were also included as additional volumes to form the ‘12 Thirumiraigal’.
The ‘Thiruneri’ application is a humble effort of Mangayarkkarasiyar Arutpani Arakkattalai to deliver the goodness of thirumurai for the benefit of tamils living across the world and spread the Saiva Siddantha philosophy.
