About Garth Hotel

The Garth Hotel was built in 1769, and through-out the years it has been an
important cornerstone of Grantown-on-Spey. It began its time as a highland
woollen mill, however has also been home to Queen Victoria’s favourite author,
and residence to the towns physicians and ministers. Now, we enjoy the
property as it has been known for many years – a vibrant, relaxed hospitality
environment.
The Garth Hotel is perfectly placed; just a 2 minute walk to the museum, the
town square, and the high street. The Craig Maclean leisure centre and the
Grantown-on-Spey 18 hole golf course are both just a 5 minute walk from the
Garth Hotel. A truly central position for exploring what Grantown, Badenoch and
Strathspey has to offer.
