About The Average Vegan

In the app, you'll find recipes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner (bottom tabs). Click on the recipe for the ingredient list and instructions (no long stories that take an hour to scroll down included). Click on the 'Add to Grocery List' button, and all the non-duplicate ingredients will be put on your list. You can access the list and delete items with the cart icon.

A couple notes:

The instructions are mostly flexible. Most of the recipes are very easy and lend themselves to experimentation. Seeds and nuts are a staple here, but they can be expensive. I buy mine in bulk at a fraction of the cost of packaged nuts and seeds. It may be challenging to find these economically, but it is worth the hunt in my opinion. If you can find nutritional yeast (nootch) at a good price, it's worth adding to many of these recipes! Finally, it is important to check that the food doesn't contain non-vegan ingredients. There are websites that help with this, but I hope to add brands in future updates.

I hope you find the app useful, especially if you are new to veganism. If you decide to rate the app, please add feedback about how I can improve it.

----Disclaimer----
I am not a professional chef nor a dietician. I'm just a vegan with average cooking skills. These are the recipes I have used to get by on a limited budget over the years along with my vitamin B12 supplement. I make no claims about the nutritional completeness of these recipes or whether they will be to your taste. Follow standard kitchen safety protocols.
