SkillELECTRIC is the UK’s premier electrical skills competition and is the only industry competition aligned to WorldSkills UK. All those who register for SkillELECTRIC 2023 will need to complete the ‘Entry Stage’, which is an app-based, timed and interactive online task. The app will be live from 10am on March 27th until 10pm on March 28th.
Competitors need to complete four tasks, which will take around one hour to complete. When you log in, you’ll only get one chance to complete the task, so you’ll need to make sure you’re ready before you start.
To give yourself the best chance of getting a good score, you’ll need to have a good knowledge of Health & Safety, Inspection & Testing, Regulations, Electrical Principles and Installation Practices & Procedures.
The app uses similar graphics and the drag, drop and tap techniques used for NET’s ‘Amped Up’ and Inspection and Testing apps. You can download these from the NET website to familiarise yourself with using an app in this way.
The top scoring competitors will be invited to the National Qualifying Heats, which will take place between April and June. At the end of March, you’ll be informed if you’ve been successful in making it through to the next stage.
