Disappointing
Update: Better, but not perfect. The app has been improved to stay connected better and allow temp adjustments, but geofencing is tricky. I had the app installed on two iPhones and one iPad. I had to remove the iPad app completely to keep geofencing functional on the iPhone since we often leave the iPad at home, but always have our iPhones. I tried turning off allowing location on the iPad, but then it switches off on the iPhones. Original review: This doesn’t stay functional. I can see what the temp is on my water heater, but the ability to change the temp fails almost immediately after resetting, requiring another reset. I can’t switch between home and away on the app, I either have to switch the water heater off or set it to the lowest setting manually on the heater. EcoNet customer service acknowledged the app doesn’t work well with Apple but hopefully an update is coming soon. It used to work quite well but Rheem has not kept up with the changes in iOS. I hope it gets fixed soon.
