About CookMarks

Do you often come across videos or posts of recipes that you want to save for later? You can usually save it on the specific app or website, but that means you have to remember where it’s saved. CookMarks provides a central location to store all the recipes that catch your eye as you scroll, swipe, and tap your way through the internet!

CookMarks allows you to add certain attributes like ingredients, cuisines, meal types, and tags so you can more easily filter through your saved recipes. A “favorites” folder on your social media app can’t do that! And while other recipe apps provide similar functionality, they also usually come with many other features that are unnecessary and make the experience less pleasant. CookMarks doesn’t include cumbersome meal planners or grocery lists. You don’t need to join an online community or share with friends. There is no search feature that returns a list of subpar recipes from the internet. CookMarks simply allows you to quickly save recipes you like, and then easily find them when you’re ready to cook.

FUNCTIONALITY
- Save a recipe. Paste in the URL (this is required). Optionally, you can manually input meal cuisine, type, all (or only key) ingredients, and customized tags.
- View your saved recipes list.
- Filter for your recipes. You can filter by ingredient, cuisine, type, or custom tag.
- Tap a recipe to view details. You can edit, delete, or go to source URL.

SUGGESTED USE CASES
- Store recipes from across a variety of websites and social media apps that you want to try later.
- Store your "go-to" recipes.
- You can input all ingredients of a recipe or only the main ones. You will be able to navigate to the link of the source recipe to check the full ingredients list.
- Filter by ingredients you have in your kitchen to find something to cook.
- Filter by cuisine and meal type depending on your mood or the time of day.
- Some examples of custom tags: A specific YouTube channel or TikTok account, "Healthy Recipes", "Vegan", "30 minutes or less", "Cocktails", "Sauces", etc. You can categorize recipes any way you want!
