About Hollings Clinical Trials

This application is designed for health professionals seeking clinical trial opportunities for cancer treatments opened at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) Hollings Cancer Center (HCC) or at any cancer center within the MUSC NCI Community Oncology Research Program for Minority and Underserved (NCORP-MU). Clinical trials are research studies looking at novel therapies that are considered investigational.

This application is organized by the following cancer disease groups: Brain, Breast, Gastrointestinal (colorectal, pancreas, liver, etc.), Genitourinary (prostate, bladder, kidney, etc.), Gynecologic (ovarian, cervical, uterine etc.), Head and Neck, Hematologic (leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma), Lung, Melanoma, Pediatric (all disease sites accruing children), and Sarcoma. Early phase clinical trials that enroll across many cancer types are organized under the “Phase I Unit.”

Users must select the disease group and click through specific patient characteristics or treatment options to narrow down the trial opportunities that are actively enrolling patients at MUSC HCC. Trial opportunity links open a study-specific webpage that contains summary trial information such as study objectives and study contacts. MUSC employees who have a MUSC Net ID can access study documents like protocol and informed consents. Users may click on the NCT link to connect to the CT.gov webpage and find the current trial eligibility criteria. All users can submit a contact request for help, and an employee of the Hollings Cancer Center Clinical Trials Office will respond.
