Took forever to figure out
After spending a good couple hours trying to figure this vent out, I’m leaving a review hoping it will help someone who may have the same issue. We bought this fan and it worked for awhile, then the speaker part quit connecting to our phones. It wouldn’t even show up on my Bluetooth as a connectable device. After flipping the fuse a couple times trying to reset the power, trying this app, trying the Broan Voice Control App, I finally figured out we had to re-connect to the built in Alexa that controls the speaker. Not sure why it got disconnected in the first place. Using the Voice Control app you can connect to a “third party” and you want to use this to connect to Alexa on your Amazon account. You may also need to download the Alexa app. A bit of a convoluted process, but it was the only thing that finally got the Broan speaker finally to show up on my Bluetooth.

Not a “real” Alexa speaker
These devices don’t work like Alexa speaker. You can play music on one, but you can’t group them like you can with Alexa speakers for playing music on the “everywhere” group. They also don’t seem to have the near-field capability - if I am in my bedroom and say something to Alexa, the Broan will take over and try to respond. Developers: PLEASE enable either faceid or stop expiring the login. I don’t log into this very often but then I can’t figure out which login it was because this app is actually part of the smart life software (I think)?
